The Blue Shuttle project is on a mission to identify key digital and technological challenges within the Marine Living Resources and/or Blue Biotechnology sectors.
We invite stakeholders from across the European Atlantic Area to help pinpoint the most pressing challenges and pave the way for growth and innovation. Selected challenges will receive tailored solutions designed to promote digital innovation and knowledge sharing for Blue Business growth.
How are going to achieve this?
Four pilot project will be established – one in each of the following countries: Ireland, France, Spain and Portugal, where solution providers (to be selected in the upcoming open call for solutions) will address the digital and technological requirements of these challenges for the development of a innovative proof of concept, fostering competitiveness and resilience of the Blue Bioeconomy sectors.

Call for challenges
This open call aims at identifying key digital and technological hurdles and needs from all relevant stakeholders within the Blue Economy sectors of Marine Living Resources and Blue Biotechnology, with a specific focus on European countries situated in the Atlantic Area, including Ireland, France, Spain and Portugal.
To this end, applicants must submit challenges that falls into the scope of:
- Harvesting, Biomass Production & Bioprospecting
- Innovation Development & Product Differentiation (e.g., transformation technologies)
- Twin transition: Green or Digital
- Other
Who can apply?
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), startups, corporates, innovation centres, academic institutions, colabs or any organization operating in the Blue Economy sectors of Marine Living Resources or Blue Biotechnology from all European countries within the Atlantic Area (Ireland, France, Spain, and Portugal), are encouraged to seize this opportunity.
